Mei Liu
Mei Liu is an Amsterdam-based artist, filmmaker, and performance-maker from Shanghai. She holds degrees from the Netherlands Film Academy film MA in Artistic Research in and through cinema and NYU Tisch in Film, and has presented works internationally at Eye Filmmuseum, Radialsystem, Tokyo Arts and Space, Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival, and Theater Commons Tokyo. Her practice explores embodied memory, spirituality, and collective resistance. She co-founded Electric Shadows in Amsterdam and Cenote Workshop in Shanghai.
