Dimitra Sofroniou
Dimitra Sofroniou is a composer and multidisciplinary artist from Athens, Greece based in Amsterdam. Her work explores the dynamic relationship between sound and visual media, frequently developed through collaborations with visual artists, filmmakers, and choreographers. She was selected as a composer for The Evening of Today 2025 at Muziekgebouw, a showcase for emerging composers, and has been nominated for the Creators Connection Program 2025–2026 by Music Theatre Now. Dimitra’s work has been presented across Europe in installations, performances, and exhibitions at venues and festivals including Muziekgebouw and Orgelpark (Amsterdam), the Amsterdam Fringe Festival, AtelierSi (Bologna), the National Theatre of Greece (Athens), deSingel (Antwerp), and the Cyprus Choreography Platform (Limassol).
