Oudail el Omari is a multidisciplinary artist. He works as an actor, theater maker, filmmaker, visual artist, and spatial designer. He seeks to discuss and question societal and cultural themes. He tells stories and explore in which mediums those stories can be told. “A story can be told through theater, poetry, photography, and even architecture.”

In 2022, he created a photo exhibition Escape phoetry about the inner world, featuring poetry and a soundscape, which was presented at SOHO House in Amsterdam. In 2024, he created another photo exhibition Telling stories through frames about bicultural identity, translated into a collage of architectural facades from Lebanon and the Netherlands, combined with poetry and a soundscape. This exhibition was presented at the Huidenclub in Rotterdam.

In the spring of 2024, he performed his play Hijra at the Fringe Festival, the Multi Color Festival in Amersfoort, and the Alletijd Festival in Rotterdam. It is a story, told in both Arabic and Dutch, about migration, its impact on the individual, and the challenges one faces in a new Watan (home country). Additionally, he presents a version of the play Hijra in elementary schools. Through his artistic practice, he aims to offer an educational element to younger audiences as well.
