Debbie Ruijter

Debbie Ruijter (Amsterdam) is a self-taught dancer. Her career started in the underground hip-hop community, where she was trained by Dutch pioneers. She then broadened her horizons by training in New York and London.

Her love for movement and authenticity led her to various club styles, where she further specialised in the style Waacking. Under her alias Barbie Vineyard, she made a name for herself at House of Vineyard, the Netherlands' first recognised ballroom house. Debbie's work includes theatrical productions, such as collaborations with Nicole Beutler Projects and Introdans, as well as commercial commissions for Nike, among others. In addition to her work as a performer, Debbie dedicates herself as a teacher, coach and jury member at dance battles.
