Carolina Bianchi
Carolina Bianchi is a Brazilian theater maker, performer and writer, currently based in Amsterdam. Her work is situated between theater and performance, where theory and practice are inseparable. Her plays depart from a crisis perspective to launch confabulations about gender violence, historical pacts, and intend an erotic approximation with History. Her staging is a combination of different references from literature, cinema and painting, filled with musical mashups, and a constant confrontation with everything that seems to be an absolute truth.
In 2017 she founded CARO DE CAVALO, a collective of artists with whom she creates a number of pieces, including O Tremor Magnífico (The Magnificent Tremor) in 2020 and LOBO (Wolf) in 2018. At the moment, she is working on her new piece CADELA FORÇA, opening in 2022.
