Ainhoa Hernandez Escudero
Ainhoa Hernández Escudero is a Madrid-born and Amsterdam-based performing arts artist. She is following the Master program DAS Theatre at the at the Academy of Theatre and Dance. Her practice is situated between choreography, theater and the curatorial. Her work traverses ancient counter-hemonical traditions and esoteric practices, traditionally performed by women - focusing on witchcraft, herbology and rituals. She feels the urge to delve into the strange; that which is difficult to understand, explain or classify. Pop aesthetics and mainstream culture inherent in today's reality also influence her work.
She is one of the founders of the choreographic collective Twins Experiment and is part of the curatorial project Saliva. She is currently working on her project Blooming - The Saga: a choreographic saga that delves into science fiction, dreams and visions and their potential to produce and manifest alternative realities.
