Regeling Werkruimte Professionele Kunst
The AFK wants to support the practice of professional art in Amsterdam and ease the burden on professional artists with an annual contribution of at least €2,000 and at most €3,500 towards the rental costs of workspace in Amsterdam. This may include a recording studio, an artist’s studio, a rehearsal space, or an editing room. For each grant year, a total budget of €225,000 is available.
Who is this subsidy for?
The regeling Werkruimte Professionele Kunst is intended for professional artists or creators who have been active for at least three years. If, as a professional artist or creator, you have a residential or business address in the municipality of Amsterdam, according to your registration at the Chamber of Commerce, you can apply. You can only apply for workspace within the municipality of Amsterdam.
You can also apply on behalf of an artists’ collective. If you work as a choreographer and/or dancer, you may be eligible for the Contemporary Dance Incentive Scheme and cannot apply under the Professional Art Workspace Scheme.

How much can you apply for?
The grant amount is between €2,000 and €3,500 per year, determined by the amount stated in the (draft) rental agreement, quotation, or rental arrangement you submit with your application. In this round, you can apply for rental costs for the period from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. For each grant year, €225,000 is available, subject to the allocation of the corresponding funds by the municipality of Amsterdam.
